The Direct Cremation Service
The Direct Cremation Service – Fully Inclusive - £2394.00
(Only available at: 8.30 a.m. 9.00 a.m. and 9.30 a.m. Monday – Friday (only) at: the East Devon Crematorium, near Whimple.)
We, at Exmouth and District Funeral Services, pride ourselves on our clear, transparent and honest approach to pricing. As such, we have designed five, fully inclusive funeral packages in addition to our bespoke price options.
 
Exmouth and District Funeral Services include all of the following services as standard, within the five, 'fully inclusive,' funeral 'packages' offered.

The Direct Cremation Service is fully inclusive of ALL the funeral director's charges AND the disbursements (statutory fees) necessary to undertake the funeral.

The Details: 'What's Included?'
  • All of the 'standard' services offered by Exmouth and District Funeral Services - as listed above
  • The services of the funeral director in arranging the funeral and liaising with other third parties and statutory bodies such as hospitals, church ministers/celebrants, doctors, medical staff, cemeteries or crematoria staff
  • Transportation of the deceased into our care locally (within a 20-mile radius), during office hours
  • Care of the deceased prior to the funeral including basic sanitization
  • Provision of an oak veneered, fully upholstered, coffin suitable for cremation
  • Conveyance of the deceased by traditional hearse, directly to the East Devon Crematorium, Strete Ralegh, Whimple at the specified time
  • The services of the funeral director and all necessary staff to carry out the funeral on the allotted day
  • The choice of day and time, with the service held no later than 09.30 a.m. Monday – Friday – as far as possible and, as available
  • Crematorium fee's and charges including environmental surcharges, will be paid on your behalf and are included in this package
  • Statutory doctor's fees – relating to the production of official Cremation Forms – will be paid on behalf of the client and are included within this package
  • A celebrant or church minister to lead the funeral service on the day. This could be a member of the local clergy, an Independent Funeral Celebrant or a member of the British Humanist Association (strictly atheist)
Additional items not included, that you may wish to consider are, the provision of:
  • An alternative coffin selection – for example, cardboard, wicker or other natural materials
  • Additional cars and/or limousines for transporting the immediate family or close friends
  • Printed 'Orders of Service' including family photographs
  • Printed Canvasses – photo based depiction for memory or keepsake purposes
  • Funeral Notices in local newspapers
  • Floral Tributes
  • Hire of a local venue, including catering, for refreshments/gatherings, following the funeral service
Following the funeral service, usually within 7 days, crematoria staff will contact you with various information and options regarding memorials such as: marker stones; a rose bush in the Garden of Remembrance or an entry in the Book of Remembrance.
